Sean Walsh, DPT, CSCS, is the Director of Physical Therapy at Anchor Spine & Joint, located in Tampa, Riverview, Odessa, Pinellas Park, and Lutz, Florida, where he launched the physical therapy program in February 2024. He brings extensive experience in sports performance and rehabilitation, having previously opened Tom Brady’s TB12 Sports and Performance Center in Tampa in 2020. While there, he worked closely with numerous Tampa Bay Buccaneers players, helping keep them healthy on the field during their 2021 Super Bowl–winning season.
A two-time graduate of the University of Connecticut, Sean earned his bachelor’s degree in Allied Health and Sciences in 2014 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. During his time at UConn, he served as Vice President of the DPT program and competed as a student-athlete in track and field, specializing in the heptathlon and decathlon. As a two-year team captain, he led his teammates to multiple championship wins.
Sean is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He leverages this expertise to help patients and athletes better understand training, recovery, and performance optimization.
Known for his compassionate, patient-centered care, Sean is especially passionate about pain science. He ensures every patient fully understands their diagnosis and individualized treatment plan, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery. In 2023, South Tampa Magazine recognized Sean as the Best Physical Therapist in South Tampa, reflecting his dedication to excellence in care.
