Adam Ward, MD

Adam Ward, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon at Anchor Spine & Joint, located in Tampa, Riverview, Odessa, Pinellas Park, and Lutz, Florida. He's dedicated to helping patients find relief from debilitating neck and back pain. Inspired by his own experience with chronic back pain caused by a congenital spinal anomaly, Dr. Ward brings deep empathy and understanding to every patient encounter. His goal is to restore mobility, reduce discomfort, and guide individuals toward a healthier, more active life.

Dr. Ward began his academic journey with a degree in mechanical engineering from New Mexico State University and worked as a mechanical engineer for top defense contractors before pursuing medicine. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch, completed his orthopedic surgery training at The University of Texas Health San Antonio, and went on to complete a spine surgery fellowship at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. There, he specialized in robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, offering patients leading-edge care with reduced recovery times.

Known for his meticulous approach, Dr. Ward tailors treatment plans to each patient’s unique condition and goals. His evidence-based strategies may include conservative therapies, advanced interventional options, and surgical solutions when necessary.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Ward enjoys spending time with his wife, newborn son, and rescue dogs and exploring the Tampa Bay area with his rescue dogs.
